Juventus are nearing an agreement with Randal Kolo Muani, offering the forward a five-year contract worth €5 million per year plus bonuses, according to reports in Italy. The deal is contingent on reaching an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain, who are seeking a €40 million fee for the player.
Juventus are proposing a €35 million transfer with an initial loan and obligation to buy based on performance-related targets. Negotiations are progressing positively, a contrast to last summer’s failed attempt to secure Kolo Muani, aided by a strong relationship between Juventus’s Giovanni Carnevali and PSG’s new sporting director. Kolo Muani reportedly made it clear to PSG that Juventus was his preferred destination, despite a previous spell at Tottenham Hotspur.
Meanwhile, Juventus are also monitoring the situation surrounding Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar. Roma are under pressure to generate €50 million in player sales by June 30th and may be forced to sell one of their key players, including Svilar, Pisilli, Soulé, N’Dicka, Koné, and Wesley. The club has authorized agents to seek potential buyers.
Svilar could be available for a fee between €35 and €40 million. The situation is complicated by Juventus’s interest in other goalkeepers, including Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez and Guglielmo Vicario of Empoli. A potential solution could see Svilar represent a blend of the qualities offered by both Martinez and Vicario – Martinez’s experience and Vicario’s youth. If Svilar were to depart, Roma are reportedly interested in Vicario as a replacement.
The transfer window could see a domino effect, with the future of Svilar potentially influencing Roma’s pursuit of Vicario. The arrival of Kolo Muani would significantly bolster Juventus’s attacking options, while a move for a new goalkeeper would address a key position for the Turin club.
