Juventus are on the verge of signing forward Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain, with negotiations taking place at the opening of the Italian transfer window in Rimini. According to reports, Juventus officials, led by CEO Giovanni Carnevali, are seeking to finalize a deal with PSG sporting director Luis Campos, potentially with the presence of PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
The move comes after a previous failed attempt to bring Kolo Muani to Juventus last summer, which saw the player join Tottenham on loan due to complications stemming from prior negotiations involving former PSG director Damien Comolli. PSG are reportedly eager to resolve the situation with Kolo Muani and avoid a repeat of past issues.
Kolo Muani has already agreed to personal terms with Juventus, committing to a five-year contract worth €5 million per season, making him one of the club’s highest earners alongside David and Kenan Yildiz. The player is reportedly enthusiastic about returning to Turin, having previously been keen on a move to the club.
Spalletti has been reassured that Kolo Muani could be available for the team’s pre-season training camp on July 13th, though a more realistic timeframe points towards the end of July, allowing him time to integrate with the squad before their tour of Hong Kong and Perth. The primary sticking point remains the transfer fee, with PSG currently valuing Kolo Muani at over €40 million, while Juventus are offering up to €35 million including bonuses. However, both clubs appear willing to compromise to reach an agreement, with a loan with obligation to buy also a possible outcome.
The hope is that a swift resolution will allow Juventus to add a key attacking option to their squad ahead of the new season.
