A potential move for Michele Sbravati from Juventus to Inter as head of youth development has fallen through, according to reports in Italy. The transfer would have continued a recent trend of personnel moving from the Turin club to Inter, particularly since Giuseppe Marotta became Inter’s president, with previous examples including Antonio Conte, Arturo Vidal, and Juan Cuadrado, as well as executives Giorgio Ricci and Luca Adornato.
The collapse of the agreement came during the final ratification stage, despite the departure of Massimo Tarantino from Inter’s youth sector seemingly clearing the path for Sbravati’s arrival, alongside that of Fulvio Pea. Sbravati is highly regarded for his work with young players and currently has two years remaining on his contract with Juventus, leaving his future uncertain.
Juventus are not actively seeking a replacement at this time, with the club prepared to promote from within should Sbravati depart. Massimiliano Scaglia is lined up to take over as head of youth development should Sbravati leave, returning him to the position he previously held. This internal solution suggests Juventus are confident in their existing structure.
Recent weeks have also seen speculation linking Sbravati with a move to Roma, driven by the club's planned overhaul of its management structure. Roma’s new sporting director, Cristiano Giuntoli, previously identified Sbravati as a key figure during his time at Juventus and believes he would be a valuable asset in building a team that balances experienced players with emerging talent. However, Sbravati is currently unconvinced about leaving the established setup at Juventus, adding another layer of complexity to his situation. The situation remains fluid as Sbravati assesses his options.
