The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) has officially confirmed the dates for the 2026-27 transfer windows across Serie A, B, and C, following a federal council meeting. The summer transfer period for Serie A will run from 29 June to 1 September 2026, closing at 20:00 CET. For Serie B and Serie C, the summer window will open slightly later, commencing on 1 July and concluding on 1 September at the same hour. A winter window for all three professional divisions is scheduled from 2 January to 1 February 2027.
The federation also approved the registration procedures and criteria for filling squad vacancies in the professional leagues. The structure for addressing these shortages will largely mirror the previous season's model. A key update involves the priority order for call-ups in Lega Pro (Serie C), which for the 2026-27 season will follow an alternating criterion. The established sequence gives priority first to a new Serie A 'B' team, then to a Lega Pro club, followed by a Serie D side, and finally another Serie A 'B' team participating in Serie D. Clubs must submit their applications for readmissions, replacements, and call-ups by the strict deadline of 20 July 2026.
For amateur football under the National Amateur League (LND), which includes Serie D, two separate registration windows have been set. The first will be open from 1 July to 30 September 2026, with a second, shorter period running from 1 December to 16 December 2026. These dates provide the framework for all player movement and squad building across the Italian football pyramid for the upcoming campaign.
The confirmation of the calendar provides essential clarity for clubs, agents, and players more than a year in advance, allowing for long-term planning. The maintained structure for filling league vacancies, with its updated call-up priorities, aims to ensure a smooth and orderly process for maintaining the correct number of teams in each professional division. This procedural stability is crucial for the administrative health of the leagues following the conclusion of each season.
