Fiorentina are progressing towards securing a loan deal with an obligation to buy for Parma’s Mateo Pellegrino, according to reports in Italy. The move is a proactive step by Fiorentina to prepare for potential departures, with Moise Kean among those linked with a move away, including interest from Como.
Parma value Pellegrino at a minimum of €30 million, and the proposed agreement with Fiorentina is structured as an initial loan with a conditional obligation to make the transfer permanent. Pellegrino is reportedly in agreement with the move to Florence, where he is expected to sign a five-year contract.
Pellegrino has been a developing talent at Parma, demonstrating promise in Serie A. This loan move offers him a chance to gain consistent playing time and further his development under a new manager. For Fiorentina, it provides a potential long-term solution in attack, addressing concerns about depth should Kean leave.
Fiorentina are also nearing the completion of a deal for Real Madrid left-back Valdepeñas for approximately €8 million. They continue to pursue Thorstvedt from Sassuolo to bolster their midfield options. Sassuolo, meanwhile, are considering a move for free agent Remo Freuler, offering him a one-year contract with an option for a further season, although they face competition from Saudi Arabian side Neom SC.
Sassuolo are also set to complete the signing of Bowie from Verona for €10 million, with Mulattieri potentially moving in the opposite direction. Elsewhere, Lazio are actively searching for a new striker, having sounded out options including Füllkrug of West Ham and Broja of Burnley, while Cancellieri could be a departure.
Atalanta are in talks to extend Gianluca Scamacca’s contract until 2030, while Daniel Maldini is expected to join Cagliari on loan with an obligation to buy. Lecce are interested in Otele from Basel as a potential replacement for Banda, who has reportedly gone missing amid interest from Al Fateh. Bologna are seeking a central defender, with Pirola of Olympiacos a potential target.
