Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain have begun negotiations regarding a potential transfer for forward Randal Kolo Muani, with discussions taking place in Rimini, Italy, according to reports from mercato. The meeting, which includes Juventus’s newly appointed CEO Giovanni Carnevali and PSG’s sporting director Luis Campos, aims to resolve past disagreements and finalize a deal for the French international.
Juventus previously pursued Kolo Muani extensively last year, but a move ultimately failed to materialize, leading to the club signing Lois Openda instead. The breakdown in negotiations reportedly caused friction with PSG, who subsequently loaned Kolo Muani to Tottenham Hotspur. Carnevali is taking a different approach, prioritizing a restoration of positive relations with the Parisian club in hopes of securing the forward this time around.
Kolo Muani spent a six-month loan spell with Juventus in the 2025 season, scoring 10 goals, and has expressed a strong desire to return to Turin. He is reportedly willing to accept a salary of 5 million euros per year plus bonuses over a four-year contract to facilitate the move. The player is currently on vacation after being excluded from recent international duty.
Alongside the pursuit of Kolo Muani, Juventus is also monitoring the situation of Matias Soulé, currently at Roma. Soulé was sold by Juventus to Roma last summer for approximately 30 million euros, but recent reports suggest he is unhappy and unwilling to consider a move to Saudi Arabia. Juventus is exploring the possibility of bringing the Argentinian winger back to Turin, seeking to add creativity to their squad. The club hopes to finalize the Kolo Muani deal quickly, potentially allowing the player to join the team for the start of pre-season training on July 13th.
