Juventus will consider offers for defender Federico Gatti this summer, according to reports in Italy. The 25-year-old is expected to start for Juventus in the upcoming Turin derby against Torino, due to Gleison Bremer’s suspension, but may have played his last game for the club.
Gatti joined Juventus last summer after a successful spell with Frosinone in Serie B, though he was previously a target for Torino. Manager Ivan Juric reportedly spoke with Gatti about a potential move to the Granata, outlining his plans for the defender. However, Juventus ultimately intervened, allowing Gatti to finish the season with Frosinone before completing his transfer.
Gatti made a significant impact for Juventus earlier this season, scoring a crucial goal against Roma in March that briefly reignited their Champions League qualification hopes. Manager Massimiliano Allegri deployed him as a centre-forward in the closing stages of that match, demonstrating his versatility. Despite this contribution, Juventus’ form faltered, and their chances of securing a top-four finish are now slim.
Juventus are also monitoring the fitness of several key players ahead of the derby. Marcus Thuram is expected to return to the starting lineup after being limited to a substitute appearance against Fiorentina due to muscular issues. Teun Koopmeiners, however, has struggled to replicate his form from his time at Atalanta, and his recent performances have been below par. Yildiz, Kelly and Kalulu are also being managed with minor physical concerns, but are expected to be available for selection. Juventus are increasingly likely to compete in the Europa League next season, and will need a strong finish to the campaign.
