Juventus are under pressure to generate at least €13 million in player sales by Tuesday to improve their financial position and avoid a potential capital increase, according to reports in Italy. Club CEO Giovanni Carnevali has reportedly informed agents of several squad members that departures are necessary to facilitate incoming transfers for coach Luciano Spalletti.
This need for sales extends beyond potential exits for players like Cabal and Gatti. Gleison Bremer had been identified as a key player who could bring in significant funds, with a release clause of €58 million set to become active on July 1st. However, finding a buyer willing to meet that valuation has proven difficult, and Bremer’s representatives are reportedly resistant to a move.
Lloyd Kelly is now emerging as a likely candidate to be sold, with interest from clubs in the Premier League. The club values him around €30 million. While Spalletti has expressed satisfaction with Kelly’s contributions and believes he has room for improvement, Juventus are open to his departure if it allows them to pursue other targets.
Jhon Lucumi of Bologna is a primary target to reinforce the defense. Negotiations are ongoing, but a significant gap remains between Bologna’s asking price and Juventus’ offer. The situation may evolve after July 15th, when a release clause of €28 million in Lucumi’s contract comes into effect. Carnevali is hoping that Lucumi’s desire to join Juventus, coupled with a possible deal involving midfielder Fabio Miretti, will help bridge the gap. The club is also exploring options for Kenan Muharemovic, and is gauging interest from other European clubs to see if a substantial offer will emerge. These potential sales are crucial for Juventus to reshape their squad under Spalletti this summer.
