Juventus are accelerating their transfer business with manager Luciano Spalletti arriving in Turin to oversee negotiations for several key targets. The club is prioritizing the signing of forward Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain, with a meeting between the clubs scheduled to take place today in Rimini, according to reports. Juventus have reportedly reached an agreement with Kolo Muani on a five-year contract worth €5 million per year, but must still convince PSG to accept a bid of €35 million.
Spalletti’s arrival follows a period of rest and meetings with football figures including Gigi Buffon and Marco Masini. The new Juventus manager is said to have a strong relationship with CEO Giovanni Carnevali, a dynamic that is proving crucial in the transfer window following the departure of Comolli. The club is confident a deal for Kolo Muani can be finalized, differing from last summer’s failed attempt.
Beyond Kolo Muani, Juventus are also exploring options to strengthen their goalkeeping and midfield positions. Spalletti has identified Argentina’s World Cup-winning goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, currently at Aston Villa, as a preferred target. Aston Villa have reportedly lowered their asking price from €10 million to €7 million, but Juventus still consider the fee too high. Martinez is reportedly receptive to the move, creating a positive dynamic in negotiations.
In midfield, Spalletti is keen on reuniting with Stanislav Lobotka, who he previously managed at Napoli during their Serie A title-winning season. Lobotka is reportedly open to leaving Napoli, but owner Aurelio De Laurentiis is holding firm on a €30 million valuation, a figure Juventus currently deem excessive. The pursuit of Lobotka does not indicate dissatisfaction with Manuel Locatelli, but rather a desire to add depth and quality to the midfield. Juventus are also considering defensive reinforcements, with potential departures for Gatti and Cabal, and interest in Lucumì and Muharemovic. These moves aim to reshape the Juventus squad ahead of the Serie A season, which begins with a team gathering on July 13th.
