Juventus are moving to reshape their attack with the potential arrivals of Alexander Sorloth from Atletico Madrid and Brahim Diaz from Real Madrid, according to reports in Italy. The club, under new manager Luciano Spalletti, are seeking to revitalize their forward line following a disappointing sixth-place finish in Serie A and subsequent qualification for the Europa League.
Spalletti is aiming for a more dynamic attacking approach, potentially shifting from a 4-2-3-1 formation to a more fluid system featuring Kenan Yildiz and Francisco Conceicao alongside new additions. The pursuit of Sorloth is progressing, with discussions underway with Atletico after reaching an agreement with the 30-year-old Norwegian forward. A meeting with Real Madrid is planned to discuss the availability of Diaz, with the club hoping to capitalize on uncertainty surrounding his role under incoming manager Jose Mourinho.
Juventus are also attempting to re-sign Randal Kolo Muani, who spent last season on loan at Tottenham from Paris Saint-Germain. Kolo Muani is reportedly keen on returning to Turin, having previously impressed during a six-month spell with the club where he scored 10 goals. The moves come after the departure of Dusan Vlahovic, who left the club as a free agent after failing to agree terms on a contract extension.
The club’s previous attempts to strengthen their attack have been inconsistent, with Lois Openda failing to make a significant impact and Jonathan David displaying fluctuating form. Arek Milik has also struggled with injuries, limiting his playing time. Sorloth scored 20 goals last season for Atletico, and previously impressed Spalletti while playing for Norway against Italy. Spalletti is familiar with all three targets, having faced them in previous managerial roles, and believes they represent safer options than previous signings. Juventus are aiming to finalize the Sorloth deal before the start of the European Championship, while discussions with Real Madrid regarding Diaz are ongoing. The club is also looking to offload players such as Openda, potentially through loan deals, and are assessing the futures of David and Milik.
These changes signal a clear intent from Juventus to rebuild their attacking force and challenge for a return to the top of Italian football.
