Juventus are intensifying their pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani, with negotiations reportedly ongoing at a recent football conclave held at Villa Alpebella in Tuscany. According to sources present at the charity event, Juventus’s new CEO, Giovanni Carnevali, was actively engaged in transfer dealings in Forte dei Marmi, despite initially being scheduled to attend the “United for Meyer” gala.
Adriano Galliani, a long-time football executive, revealed he spoke with Carnevali, who explained his absence was due to being in the area to conduct transfer business, though he did not disclose the specific player involved. This suggests a concentrated effort by Juventus to secure attacking reinforcements ahead of the new season.
Juventus initially submitted a bid of €33 million for Kolo Muani, which was rejected by PSG’s sporting director, Campos. However, the Bianconeri are prepared to increase their offer, aiming to reach PSG’s valuation of €40 million. The proposed deal is expected to be a loan with an obligation to buy, contingent on the player meeting certain performance-based objectives.
Both clubs are keen to finalize the transfer swiftly; PSG are looking to trim their squad after signing Goncalo Ramos, while Juventus manager Luciano Spalletti is eager to have a settled starting striker before the team’s training camp begins on July 13th. The expectation is that Kolo Muani could join the squad at that time.
This pursuit of Kolo Muani coincides with a shift in Juventus’s transfer strategy under Carnevali, who is prioritizing strong relationships with other clubs. This represents a departure from the approach of his predecessor, Damien Comolli, and a return to a more diplomatic and direct negotiation style. The recent signing of Ekhator from Genoa exemplifies this new approach, and the club hopes to see similar success in securing Kolo Muani.
