Juventus are actively working to reduce their squad size this summer, with several players identified as potential departures to improve the club’s financial situation and reshape the team under coach Luciano Spalletti, according to reports in Italy.
Ivory Coast midfielder Franck Kessie is a key target for sale, with Juventus reportedly re-establishing contact with his representatives. Kessie, who arrived at Juventus last summer, is reportedly unwilling to consider a contract renewal with Al-Ahli and is prioritizing a return to Serie A, even if it means accepting a reduced salary. While a deal appears straightforward, the report notes that finding the right agreement will be crucial.
Fabio Miretti’s future remains uncertain, though his status as a product of the Juventus academy provides some protection. The club are weighing offers for the young midfielder, with Fiorentina, Venezia, and Como all expressing interest. Juventus value Miretti at around €15 million, but Spalletti is believed to appreciate his potential and development within the youth system. Miretti is currently the lowest-paid player in the Juventus squad, earning €1 million per season.
Juan Cabal is considered surplus to requirements following a red card in Istanbul, with Spalletti deeming the Colombian defender unsuitable for the level required at Juventus. However, persistent injuries and his exclusion from the World Cup squad are hindering potential moves.
Defender Federico Gatti is also expected to leave, with Juventus valuing him between €20 and €25 million. He struggled to establish himself under Spalletti, even being deployed as an emergency forward late in the season. Napoli, now managed by former Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri, are reportedly interested in signing Gatti, as are several Premier League clubs.
Striker Arkadiusz Milik may be loaned out, with Coventry, Lens, and Rennes all showing interest in a temporary deal with an option or obligation to buy. Youngster Joseph Adzic is also expected to be loaned to a club in Serie B to gain experience.
These potential departures are part of a broader effort by Juventus to balance the books and build a squad more aligned with Spalletti’s vision for the future.
