Juventus are taking a measured approach to reinforcing their goalkeeping options, first needing to clarify the futures of their current squad members before making a move for a new number one. According to reports from Torino, only Carlo Pinsoglio is currently secure in his position, leaving the situations of Michele Di Gregorio, Mattia Perin, and Giovanni Daffara unresolved.
Discussions with Michele Di Gregorio’s representatives are planned, after the player recently rejected a move to Besiktas and is awaiting potential opportunities in Italy or abroad. Should suitable offers fail to materialize, a stay at Juventus remains a possibility. Mattia Perin is also considering his options, weighing the role of a squad player and backup goalkeeper against the prospect of finding a club where he can secure more playing time. Meanwhile, Giovanni Daffara, recently returning from a loan spell at Avellino, has attracted interest from clubs in Serie A and Serie B, with Juventus yet to decide whether to sell or loan the player.
Once these existing goalkeeping matters are settled, Juventus will intensify their pursuit of a new first-choice keeper, with Argentina’s Emiliano Martinez topping their list. The 33-year-old is expected to depart Aston Villa, potentially with the English club seeking a replacement in Parma’s Zion Suzuki. However, the ongoing FIFA World Cup is complicating negotiations, delaying progress on potential transfers. Juventus are reportedly unwilling to meet Aston Villa’s initial asking price, currently valuing Martinez at just over 5 million euros, significantly lower than the 10-15 million euros initially demanded by the Villans, who are hoping to capitalize on the goalkeeper’s status as Argentina’s starter.
Other goalkeeping options have been explored, including Mile Svilar of Roma, but the club is unwilling to sell for less than 50 million euros, and the player himself is keen to remain in the Italian capital after securing Champions League qualification. Guglielmo Vicario has also been considered, with a potential loan deal with an option to buy from Tottenham a possibility, contingent on the London club’s squad depth. Finally, Juventus are monitoring the situation of Alisson Becker at Liverpool, though a move for the Brazilian is considered difficult due to the club’s firm stance on the player’s future. Martinez, who has reportedly agreed personal terms with Juventus – a three-year contract worth around 5 million euros per season – is awaiting updates, mirroring the patient approach of Juventus’s management.
