Juventus are intensifying talks with Manchester United regarding a potential loan move for forward Joshua Zirkzee, according to reports from Italy. The club’s leadership, including Cristiano Carnevali and Ricky Massara, have reportedly received positive signals from Zirkzee’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, regarding a return to Serie A.
The 26-year-old Dutchman has struggled to establish himself at Manchester United, scoring nine goals and providing four assists in 75 appearances across two seasons, totaling just under 2,901 minutes of playing time. Zirkzee previously played in Serie A with Bologna and is reportedly keen on a return to the league, having failed to adapt to the demands of the Premier League or the style of play at United. Massara, who previously attempted to bring Zirkzee to Roma while at the club, is a known admirer of the player.
Discussions with Joorabchian have confirmed Zirkzee’s willingness to accept a contract worth €3.6 million per year plus bonuses, which falls within Juventus’s wage structure. This positive indication from the player’s side is strengthening Juventus’s position in negotiations with Manchester United. The English club values Zirkzee between €35 and €40 million.
While a permanent transfer is a possibility, Manchester United are reportedly open to a loan deal with a mandatory purchase option in the summer of 2027. Juventus, however, are exploring alternative formulas, potentially proposing a loan with a right to buy or an obligation contingent on specific performance-related conditions. Negotiations are still in their early stages, but frequent communication between the clubs could accelerate the process. Juventus are simultaneously working on a separate deal for Kolo Muani with Paris Saint-Germain.
