Arsenal have entered the market for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez, according to reports, as the Argentine considers his options following a disappointing season for the Blues. The 23-year-old has been linked with several top European clubs, including Real Madrid and Manchester City, after Chelsea failed to qualify for European competition next season.
Chelsea are reportedly reluctant to sell Fernandez, who still has six years remaining on his contract, and would demand a fee exceeding €120 million for his departure. Despite this, CaughtOffside reports that Mikel Arteta is monitoring the situation, though Sandro Tonali remains a priority target for the Gunners.
In other transfer news, Arsenal have seen a €120 million bid for Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez rejected, as per reports in Spain. Alvarez is also attracting interest from Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, but is reportedly leaning towards a move to the Catalan club. The Gunners initially made their approach for Alvarez during the Club World Cup last summer.
Piero Hincapie, currently on loan at Arsenal from Bayer Leverkusen, is also a target for Barcelona. Arsenal have an option to make the deal permanent for €52 million this summer, but Barcelona are hoping to capitalise on the situation and secure the Ecuadorian defender. However, Hincapie is reportedly happy at Arsenal, and the club are expected to trigger their purchase option.
Defender Riccardo Calafiori has expressed a desire to return to his boyhood club, AS Roma, stating he has “unfinished business” with the Giallorossi. Calafiori joined Arsenal in 2024 after a spell in Switzerland, but remains attached to the Italian club where he began his career.
Finally, Bournemouth are determined to retain their key players, including Arsenal target Eli Kroupi. The 19-year-old forward scored 13 Premier League goals in his debut season, and Arsenal and Manchester United are both reportedly interested. Bournemouth would only consider selling Kroupi for a substantial fee, potentially exceeding €90 million, and ideally wish to keep him until 2027.
