Arsenal have submitted an official offer to Leicester City for winger Jeremy Monga, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. The 16-year-old England U19 international has been strongly linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium, and negotiations have progressed to the point of a formal bid.
Romano reported via X that Arsenal are eager to finalize a deal for Monga, who is viewed as a significant prospect for the future. The winger is reportedly keen on joining Mikel Arteta’s squad, and the deal is progressing with optimism.
Monga has already made 37 first-team appearances for Leicester City, quickly establishing himself as a promising talent. He is the third-youngest player to debut in the Premier League, trailing only Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri and Max Dowman. Should a transfer be completed, he is expected to integrate into Arsenal’s senior training sessions.
Despite his potential, Monga is not anticipated to immediately feature prominently in the Arsenal first team. The club is still pursuing a more experienced left winger, with Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli both subjects of transfer speculation. A likely path for Monga would involve regular playing time with Arsenal’s U21 side or a loan spell during the 2026-27 season to facilitate his development.
Alongside the pursuit of Monga, Arsenal are actively strengthening their squad for the upcoming season. Piero Hincapie is expected to complete a permanent transfer from Bayer Leverkusen following a successful loan, and the club is working to secure Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers. Other potential targets include Valentino Livramento, Morgan Gibbs-White, Bradley Barcola, and Julian Alvarez, while Ayyoub Bouaddi of Lille has also emerged as a target after impressing at the 2026 World Cup.
