Arsenal have submitted an offer of €80 million (£69 million) for Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, according to reports. The move comes as Mikel Arteta seeks to bolster his attacking options, specifically at left wing, and potentially replace Gabriel Martinelli.
Barcola enjoyed a successful 2025-26 campaign with PSG, contributing 13 goals and seven assists in 49 appearances across all competitions. He played a key role in their successful defense of both the Ligue 1 title and the Champions League. The 23-year-old also recently featured for the France national team, scoring in their opening World Cup victory against Senegal.
Despite his contributions, Barcola’s future at PSG is uncertain due to the competition for places in the squad. PSG currently have several options for the left wing position, including Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Desire Doue, and Ousmane Dembele, and Barcola is reportedly seeking assurances of regular starting opportunities. This has prompted interest from several Premier League clubs.
Liverpool are also strongly interested in Barcola, and have been pursuing him alongside RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande, even after completing the signing of Spanish winger Victor Munoz from Osasuna for €40 million (£34.5 million). However, Arsenal’s offer aims to preempt any move from their rivals. PSG are reportedly holding out for a fee of €100 million (£87 million) for Barcola, meaning Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta may need to submit an improved bid.
Several other elite European clubs are monitoring Barcola’s situation, including Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona. The potential transfer could also be linked to PSG’s pursuit of Liverpool target Yan Diomande, with Barcola’s departure potentially accelerating a deal for the Ivorian defender. Should PSG secure Diomande, it would likely facilitate Barcola’s exit, potentially offering Liverpool an alternative target if they miss out on the Leipzig player.
