Lazio have submitted a €4 million bid for Bayern Munich midfielder Jonathan Asp Jensen, according to reports in Italy. The offer comes after the 20-year-old spent the 2025/26 season on loan at Swiss Super League side Grasshoppers, where he impressed with his goalscoring form.
Corriere dello Sport reports that Lazio have already agreed personal terms with Jensen and are now in negotiations with Bayern Munich over the final details of the transfer. A key sticking point in discussions is believed to be the structure of a potential sell-on clause, which would see Bayern benefit from any future profit Lazio make on the player.
Should the two clubs reach an agreement, Jensen is expected to sign a four-year contract with Lazio, with the option for a further year. This would represent a significant opportunity for the young Dane to establish himself in one of Europe’s top five leagues.
Jensen enjoyed a productive season with Grasshoppers, scoring nine goals and providing six assists in 40 appearances across all competitions. His performances highlighted his ability to contribute both offensively and defensively from a central midfield position. He joined Bayern Munich’s youth setup in 2022, progressing through the ranks before being deemed ready for a loan spell to gain regular first-team experience.
The move to Lazio would provide Jensen with a clear pathway to first-team football in Serie A, potentially allowing him to further develop his game under Maurizio Sarri. For Bayern, the sale would represent a modest profit on a player who, while promising, was unlikely to break into the first team in the immediate future. The inclusion of a sell-on clause could mitigate any potential regret should Jensen flourish in Italy. This transfer could provide Lazio with a dynamic midfield option as they look to challenge for Champions League qualification.
