Real Madrid are preparing a significant offer for Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise, potentially exceeding €150 million, according to reports emerging from Spain. The pursuit of Olise is central to Florentino Pérez’s plans following his recent re-election as club president, with Pérez having promised a marquee signing during his campaign.
The Portuguese manager José Mourinho is also set to return to the Santiago Bernabéu, with Benfica due to receive a €15 million compensation fee for his release. The club also intends to bring back Endrick, who is already signed, and exercise a €9 million buyback clause for Nico Paz, a promising talent developed at Real Madrid’s academy.
Olise, who joined Bayern Munich from Crystal Palace last year, has quickly become a key player, showcasing his ability with a hat-trick in a recent international friendly for France. However, Bayern officials have publicly stated their unwillingness to negotiate a sale, with president Herbert Hainer suggesting any offer from Real Madrid would be unwelcome and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge asserting no price would be sufficient to trigger a sale.
Despite Bayern’s firm stance, Real Madrid are reportedly determined to pursue Olise, viewing him as the ideal player to usher in a new “Galáctico” era. Should the transfer succeed, it would surpass the €127 million spent on Jude Bellingham last summer as the club’s most expensive acquisition. Other players linked with a move to the Bernabéu include Bernardo Silva, Joško Gvardiol, and Riccardo Calafiori, though Olise appears to be Pérez’s primary target.
In a separate initiative, Real Madrid have launched a limited-edition jersey featuring the name “León” and the number XIV, referencing a comment made by Pope Leo XIV expressing support for the club during a recent trip to Spain. The jersey is available for €195.
