Aston Villa are reportedly prepared to make a €60 million offer for Milan winger Rafael Leao this summer, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. The potential move comes as Villa anticipate a significant influx of funds from the impending €137 million transfer of Morgan Rogers to Chelsea.
Leao has spent the last seven years at San Siro, establishing himself as a key player for Milan. The Portuguese international’s pace and skill would likely make him a focal point in Unai Emery’s attack, should he make the switch to Villa Park.
Elsewhere, Barcelona have expressed interest in Manchester City’s Phil Foden, with El Nacional reporting a potential €50 million bid. Foden’s recent form for City has been inconsistent, and the arrival of new manager Enzo Maresca could lead to changes within the squad, potentially making the England international available.
In confirmed transfers, Aston Villa have secured the services of Joao Gomes from Wolves for a fee of €40 million. Several other Premier League clubs, including Manchester United and Liverpool, had previously shown interest in the Brazilian midfielder, but Villa ultimately prevailed. Francisco Trincao’s move to Al-Ahli in the Saudi Pro League also went through for €39.4 million, despite late interest from Manchester City and Tottenham. Further reports suggest Tottenham are willing to sell Richarlison for €25 million, with Inter and Juventus potentially vying for his signature. Besiktas have reportedly expressed interest in both Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah of Liverpool, though no fee has been mentioned for the latter.
