Rafael Leao, the AC Milan winger, has expressed a desire to join Arsenal this summer, according to reports in Gazzetta dello Sport. The Portugal international is reportedly seeking a new club, with Milan seemingly open to a sale for around €50 million. Barcelona and Manchester United have also been mentioned as potential destinations for Leao, who has been a key player for Milan since joining from Lille in 2019, contributing goals and assists in Serie A and the Champions League.
Arsenal are also progressing with other potential signings. Jeremy Monga, a Leicester City prospect, has indicated that he prefers a move to the Gunners, as reported by Ben Jacobs. The 16-year-old has given the green light for Arsenal to pursue his signature, beating out interest from at least seven other clubs. Leicester, recently relegated to League One, are expected to receive a compensation fee exceeding €10 million for Monga, who has chosen not to sign a professional contract with his current club. Fabrizio Romano confirmed Arsenal are pushing hard for the teenager.
Further bolstering their attacking options, Arsenal are also considering Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, according to Romano. Villa are prepared to sell Rogers, and the player is reportedly open to a move to the Emirates Stadium. However, Arsenal are still evaluating their options and haven’t made a final decision on their priority target for the winger position. Romano noted that any deal for Rogers would be expensive, given his recent contract extension and Villa’s upcoming Champions League campaign.
There is also interest from outside the club, with Real Madrid reportedly making contact with Arsenal defender Riccardo Calafiori, as confirmed by Romano. Los Blancos have identified the Italy international as a potential target, but a deal is not expected to be straightforward, as Arsenal view Calafiori as an important part of their long-term plans. Finally, Liverpool have initiated contact with RB Leipzig regarding Yan Diomande, with David Ornstein reporting that the Reds are currently the frontrunners to secure his signature, though Leipzig are currently resisting a sale. Diomande is also a target for Arsenal and PSG.
These potential additions signal Arsenal’s intent to strengthen their squad ahead of next season, aiming to build on their recent Premier League title challenge and compete in the Champions League.
