Liam Rosenior has been appointed as the new manager of Paris FC, the club confirmed on Tuesday. The former Strasbourg and Chelsea coach has signed a contract with the Ligue 1 side that will run until June 2028. Rosenior will begin his role immediately, overseeing the team’s first collective training session on Thursday.
Paris FC’s sporting director, Marco Neppe, praised Rosenior’s qualities in an official club statement. Neppe described Rosenior as a “modern, demanding coach” with a proven ability to develop both individual players and the team as a whole. He also highlighted Rosenior’s management skills and his capacity to build a cohesive group around a clear vision. Neppe expressed confidence in Rosenior’s ability to succeed at Paris FC.
Rosenior’s appointment comes after the departure of Antoine Kombouaré, with the club issuing a statement of thanks to Kombouaré and his staff for their work between February and May. Kombouaré’s future had been the subject of speculation in recent weeks, with reports suggesting the club were seeking a new direction.
Rosenior previously managed Strasbourg, where he gained experience in Ligue 1. Prior to that, he held a coaching position at Chelsea, contributing to their youth development program. This move represents a return to Ligue 1 for Rosenior, offering him a significant opportunity to lead a club with ambitions for growth. The Paris FC will be hoping Rosenior can stabilise the club and push them towards the upper reaches of the Ligue 1 table. His tactical acumen and leadership skills will be crucial as he integrates his philosophy into the squad.
