Lille are pursuing a deal for Troyes right-back Yvann Titi, according to L’Équipe. The move comes following the departure of Thomas Meunier at the end of his contract, leaving a vacancy at right-back for the upcoming season. Lille are seeking a young, developmental player to provide competition for 23-year-old Tiago Santos.
Titi, 20, played a significant role in Troyes’ promotion to Ligue 1 as champions of Ligue 2, making 20 league appearances last season, including 15 starts. His performances have attracted attention from multiple clubs, with Lille identified as prioritising a move for the young defender. Another unnamed Ligue 1 club is also reportedly monitoring the situation.
The defender is a product of the French youth system, having represented France at the Under-17, Under-18, and Under-19 levels. He was a finalist with the French Under-17 team at the European Championships. Currently, Titi remains under contract with Troyes for one further season.
Lille’s interest in Titi reflects a strategy of building for the future while simultaneously strengthening their immediate squad depth. The potential arrival of Titi would provide valuable cover and competition in a key position, allowing Santos to challenge for a starting role. The transfer could provide Troyes with a fee for a promising young player, while also allowing Titi to test himself at a higher level.
