Liverpool have reportedly renewed their interest in Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, with the player himself said to be ‘very keen’ on a move to Anfield. According to Le10Sport, the Merseyside club are ‘hotter than ever’ in their pursuit of the 23-year-old Frenchman.
Barcola has contributed 75 goals and assists in 148 appearances for PSG since joining the club, however, he has found first-team opportunities limited recently, starting on the bench for both legs of their Champions League semi-final victory over Bayern Munich. This lack of consistent playing time is reportedly fueling his desire for a move.
Arsenal are also heavily linked with Barcola, but Alexis Bernard of Le10Sport claims a move to England appeals to the winger, with a transfer to Liverpool being particularly attractive due to the prospect of a more prominent role. PSG have not ruled out discussing his potential departure.
Sources speaking to TEAMtalk have corroborated the reports, stating that Barcola’s agent is actively exploring options for his client. While PSG consider him a valuable member of the squad, Barcola is open to considering offers from other clubs. Several other Premier League teams, including Manchester City, Manchester United, and Chelsea, have been alerted to his situation, as have clubs across Europe.
Barcola’s arrival at Anfield would provide new Liverpool manager Arne Slot with another attacking option, potentially offering competition and depth in wide positions. His goal contributions for PSG suggest he could be a valuable asset in the Premier League. The transfer would likely depend on Liverpool’s ability to meet PSG’s valuation and Barcola’s wage demands.
