Liverpool are considering a bid for Brighton and Hove Albion winger Yankuba Minteh, according to sources at TEAMtalk, as the club assesses the potential cost of Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola. The development comes as Liverpool seek a replacement for Mohamed Salah, with the Egyptian’s future at Anfield uncertain.
While Liverpool recently signed Victor Munoz from Osasuna, the club views him as more suited to a left-wing role. Minteh, a 21-year-old Gambia international, scored three goals and provided four assists in 36 appearances for Brighton last season. However, Brighton are reportedly demanding between £70-80million for the former Newcastle winger, making a deal far from straightforward.
Alongside Minteh, Liverpool have also shown interest in Bradley Barcola of Paris Saint-Germain. However, PSG are seeking a substantial fee for the France international, reportedly around €150million (£128m, $171.2m) should they agree to sell. Barcola has won Ligue 1 three times and the Champions League twice with PSG, establishing himself as a key player for the French champions.
Sources indicate that Barcola himself is seeking a move away from PSG in search of a more prominent role in the team. This desire has prompted Liverpool to consider a potential deal in the summer of 2026, although a move this year remains possible. Arsenal are also reportedly interested in the 23-year-old.
In a separate development, Liverpool will not be pursuing a deal for Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni. The player is set to sign a contract extension with Madrid until 2031, effectively ending any speculation of a move to Anfield. Fabrizio Romano and Ben Jacobs both confirmed the agreement, citing input from new Madrid manager Jose Mourinho as a key factor in Tchouameni’s decision.
