Liverpool have submitted a formal offer for 16-year-old Hertha Berlin midfielder Kenneth Eichhorn, according to TEAMtalk. The offer comes as Arne Slot seeks to bolster his squad following a fifth-place finish in the Premier League last season.
Eichhorn made two senior appearances for Hertha Berlin this season, both in the DFB-Pokal, and scored one goal. He is considered a highly-rated prospect, attracting interest from several major European clubs. Manchester City have also made a similar offer for the young midfielder.
Both Liverpool and City are proposing a developmental structure for Eichhorn, with a potential loan spell to Bayer Leverkusen reportedly included in City’s offer. Liverpool would likely offer a similar arrangement to aid the player’s progression. The Reds are evidently looking to the future with this potential signing, aiming to secure promising talent for the long term.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are bracing for the potential departure of Andy Robertson, with Tottenham Hotspur currently leading the race for his signature. However, Juventus have reportedly entered the fray, submitting an offer for the Scottish left-back. Fabrizio Romano confirms that the decision now rests with Robertson, who must choose between the two clubs.
Liverpool are also continuing to monitor Anthony Gordon as they search for a replacement for Mohamed Salah. Newcastle United are seeking £75 million for the winger, a fee that Bayern Munich are reportedly unwilling to meet. Liverpool are assessing their options, with Yan Diomande currently considered their top target, but Gordon remains a viable alternative due to his potential attainability.
