Discussions between the two clubs have been ongoing for a month, with Lille reportedly firm in their valuation of the 18-year-old. While City prefer an immediate transfer, Lille are seeking a clause that would allow them to re-sign Bouaddi on loan until 2027 should they accept a lower fee. Bouaddi is expected to discuss the situation with Lille president Olivier Letang upon his return from holiday following international duty.
Elsewhere, Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah is nearing a move to Serie A side Como. Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Como initially hoped Inter would make a move for the England international to avoid a bidding war, but Inter withdrew from negotiations due to Chelsea’s asking price.
