Manchester United and Chelsea are both monitoring Borussia Dortmund winger Karim Adeyemi ahead of a potential summer transfer, with the Bundesliga club reportedly open to offers in the region of €60-70 million. TEAMtalk understands Dortmund are willing to consider selling the 24-year-old to avoid losing him for free when his contract expires in June 2027.
Adeyemi, known for his pace and finishing ability, has yet to agree to an extension with Dortmund, prompting the club to explore potential buyers. Manchester United view the former Red Bull Salzburg player as a key target to add speed and directness to their attack, believing Champions League qualification will strengthen their position.
Chelsea have also maintained an interest in Adeyemi, with contact between the club and the player’s representatives occurring over the past year. New manager Xabi Alonso reportedly sees the German international as a dynamic addition to his squad. Liverpool are also monitoring the situation, seeking to refresh their attacking options, while PSG have also registered interest should they lose a current winger.
Adeyemi joined Dortmund from Salzburg in 2022 for approximately €30 million and has since made 146 appearances, scoring 36 goals and providing 25 assists. This season alone, he has contributed 10 goals and eight assists in 39 games across all competitions. The player is reportedly seeking a weekly wage in the range of £150,000-£180,000.
Dortmund’s willingness to negotiate is linked to a period of transition at the club, with a sale potentially providing funds for reinvestment. Adeyemi himself has expressed ambitions to reach the “top” of the game, and a move to the Premier League, with its financial power, is considered increasingly likely.
