Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha is attracting interest from the Premier League, with both Manchester United and Liverpool monitoring the Germany international ahead of a potential summer move. Sources understand that intermediaries are actively exploring options for the 25-year-old, who has become a key figure in Dortmund’s midfield since joining from Wolfsburg in 2023.
Nmecha’s performances for Dortmund, and recently for Germany during the international break, have reportedly caught the attention of several top European clubs. He was a standout performer in Germany’s 7-1 victory over Curacao, further solidifying his reputation as a rising talent in European football. While Nmecha signed a new four-year contract with Dortmund in March, those close to the player are suggesting a deal could be possible for a fee of around £52million (€60m, $69m).
Real Madrid and Barcelona have also been linked with Nmecha, but a return to England is emerging as a realistic possibility. Both Felix and his brother, Lukas, who currently plays for Leeds United, came through the Manchester City academy system. This connection, along with Nmecha’s proven ability, has reportedly piqued the interest of several Premier League clubs.
Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City have also been approached regarding Nmecha’s availability, with all five clubs reportedly receptive to receiving further information. Liverpool and Manchester United are both actively seeking midfield reinforcements, making Nmecha a potential target. Dortmund, however, remain relaxed about the situation, with Nmecha tied to a long-term contract, though they acknowledge a similar scenario to defender Nico Schlotterbeck could unfold. The club are under no immediate pressure to sell, but are aware of the growing interest in the player.
Manchester United’s pursuit of Mateus Fernandes is progressing, with a deal now considered likely. This could further accelerate their interest in Nmecha as they look to bolster their midfield options ahead of the new season. The potential arrival of Nmecha would provide both Liverpool and Manchester United with a dynamic and technically gifted midfielder capable of influencing games in both attack and defence.
