Manchester United have been presented with the opportunity to sign Chelsea defender Jorrel Hato, according to reports from The Chelsea Chronicle. The 20-year-old Dutch international is reportedly seeking a move away from Stamford Bridge following Chelsea’s failure to qualify for the Champions League.
This potential deal comes amidst a seemingly strengthening relationship between the two clubs, following recent transfers involving Andrey Santos and Alejandro Garnacho. Transfer insider Ekrem Konur stated that intermediaries have offered Hato to both United and Arsenal, with the player prioritizing Champions League football. Konur also noted that United are undertaking a long-term rebuild of their defensive line, making Hato’s profile appealing, though no formal bid has been made yet.
United’s interest extends beyond Hato, with continued links to Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye. Fabrizio Romano reports that the club retains interest in the Senegal international, potentially pursuing an €83 million transfer. Ndiaye scored six goals and provided three assists in 32 appearances for Everton last season.
Further forward, United are also monitoring Joshua Zirkzee, currently at Manchester United, with Juventus stepping up their interest after facing difficulties in negotiations for Randal Kolo Muani. La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Juventus have enquired about Zirkzee’s availability, valuing him between €35 million and €40 million. Zirkzee was previously linked with Juventus during his time at Bologna.
Another potential attacking target is Crystal Palace’s Ismaila Sarr, with United reportedly entering discussions with Palace, as per Foot Mercato. Sarr enjoyed a prolific 2025/26 season, scoring 21 goals and providing two assists in 45 appearances. Finally, United face competition from Tottenham and Aston Villa for Como’s Martin Baturina, with the Croatian midfielder valued at €80 million. Como’s coach, Cesc Fabregas, indicated the club is not actively seeking to sell, following their qualification for the Champions League.
