Manchester United, alongside Premier League rivals Brentford and Newcastle United, have expressed interest in TSG Hoffenheim winger Bazoumana Touré, according to a report in Sport BILD. The Ivorian international has emerged as a potential target for all three clubs as they plan for upcoming transfer windows.
Touré enjoyed a productive 2023-24 season with Hoffenheim, registering five goals and seven assists in 30 Bundesliga appearances. His performances have attracted attention from the Premier League, with Manchester United reportedly particularly keen to bolster their attacking options. The club is actively seeking reinforcements ahead of the 2024-25 season, with a clear preference for young, fast, and high-potential players.
Manchester United’s interest comes amidst ongoing speculation regarding the future of several attacking players within the squad. The club is reportedly prioritizing dynamic, versatile forwards who can contribute both goals and assists. Brentford and Newcastle are also seeking to strengthen their forward lines, potentially viewing Touré as a key addition to their respective squads.
Hoffenheim currently hold a strong negotiating position, with Touré under contract until 2029. Sporting director Andreas Schicker has publicly stated the club’s desire to retain its key players, suggesting any potential sale would require a substantial offer. Sport BILD reports that Hoffenheim would likely demand a transfer fee in the region of €40 to €50 million for the 23-year-old.
While Hoffenheim are initially resistant to selling, the report indicates they would be open to negotiations if a sufficiently attractive offer is presented. Touré’s age and potential align with the profiles of players that Premier League clubs are increasingly targeting, suggesting a competitive bidding process could develop if any of the interested parties make a formal approach. Securing Touré would provide a long-term attacking solution for whichever club succeeds in bringing him to the Premier League.
