FC Metz have confirmed the loan signing of Georgian winger Giorgi Abuachvili from Kolkheti 1913 Poti, the club announced on Tuesday. The 23-year-old returns to Metz for a season-long loan, having previously spent the 2025-2026 campaign with the French side. Abuachvili will join a Metz squad preparing for life in Ligue 2 following their relegation from the top flight.
The move sees Abuachvili return to a familiar environment, where he will hope to contribute to Metz’s immediate promotion push. He made 23 appearances for Kolkheti 1913 Poti last season, scoring two goals.
