AC Milan have announced contract extensions for promising young players Francesco Camarda and Christian Comotto, both deals running until June 30, 2031, with an option for an additional year, according to a statement released by the club. The renewals are seen as a proactive step by Milan to prevent a repeat of the situation involving Marco Liberali, a youth product who recently moved to Como after a successful loan spell at Catanzaro.
Camarda, a product of Milan’s youth academy since the age of seven, has progressed through all levels, including the Primavera and Milan Futuro teams, before making his first-team debut. The forward spent last season on loan at Lecce, gaining valuable Serie A experience with 23 appearances, scoring one goal and providing one assist. He has now returned to Milan, and the club clearly views him as a key part of their future plans.
Comotto joined Milan’s youth setup in 2020 and has since developed through the club’s various youth categories, ultimately reaching the Primavera squad. He impressed during a loan spell with Spezia in the 2024/25 season, making 28 appearances and establishing himself as a promising talent. Like Camarda, the club has rewarded his progress with a long-term contract extension.
