Foot Mercato first reported the news of Moreira’s willingness to join Die Werkself, with Bild subsequently corroborating Leverkusen’s interest. The German publication values the 21-year-old at a transfer fee between €25-30 million. Moreira enjoyed a productive 2023-24 campaign with Lyon, directly contributing to 19 goals in 37 appearances across all competitions. The Portuguese youth international, who has three caps for Portugal’s Under-21 team, began his professional career at Sporting CP before joining Lyon in 2022.
