Genoa wing-back Zachary Norton-Cuffy is the subject of significant interest from clubs in the English Premier League, according to reports from Italy. The 20-year-old is currently with the Genoa squad as they begin their pre-season training camp in Moena.
Norton-Cuffy joined Genoa last summer from Norwich City, initially on loan before the Italian club made the move permanent. He quickly established himself as a regular in the side, making 26 appearances in Serie A and contributing two assists. His performances have reportedly caught the eye of several Premier League teams.
Genoa are reportedly seeking a fee of at least €20 million for the player, a figure that sources suggest would not be a barrier for potential suitors in England. While other Genoa players, including Frendrup, are also attracting attention, Norton-Cuffy is currently considered the most likely to depart. The club has so far not received any offers that meet their valuation.
Genoa president Alessandro Sucu is actively involved in transfer strategy, working closely with his other club, Rapid Bucharest, to identify potential new signings. Sucu attended an open training session earlier this week and has remained at the club to oversee market operations. Genoa are expected to both trim their squad and add new players, particularly in attacking positions and on the wings, following their pre-season camp. The club will be screened for potential departures as they prepare for the upcoming Serie A season.
Norton-Cuffy will continue to train with the Genoa squad for now, but his future remains uncertain as the transfer window progresses. Genoa’s pre-season schedule includes a friendly match against Vicenza on July 25th.
