Ivan Perisic is hoping for a move back to Inter Milan and anticipates a potential offer, according to reports in Italy. The Croatian winger, currently at PSV Eindhoven, has made his desire to rejoin the Nerazzurri clear, stating that the decision rests with the club’s management. Perisic is prepared to request a transfer from PSV should Inter express interest, prioritizing a return to Milan above other options in Serie A.
Perisic previously had two spells with Inter, initially joining in 2015 before leaving for Bayern Munich in 2019. He then returned to Inter for the 2021-22 season, playing a key role in their Coppa Italia triumph and reaching the Champions League final, before moving to Tottenham Hotspur. A subsequent loan spell at Hajduk Split preceded his move to PSV last year, where he has enjoyed a successful season, contributing to the club’s league title win.
Cristian Chivu, Inter’s youth team coach and a former teammate of Perisic, is reportedly keen to welcome the winger back to the club. However, the potential involvement of Oaktree, Inter’s current owners, could present an obstacle due to Perisic’s age. The 37-year-old is confident in his physical condition and believes he can still make a significant contribution to the team, either as a starter or a substitute, and offer valuable experience to younger players.
