Paris Saint-Germain are considering a move for Bournemouth forward Éli Junior Kroupi, according to L'Équipe. The 19-year-old has impressed in his debut season in the Premier League, scoring 13 goals in 1,683 minutes played for the Cherries.
Kroupi’s father, Éli Kroupi, a former forward for Lorient, reportedly predicted his son’s success in England, envisioning a significant goal return even in his first season. The young forward exceeded expectations, notably scoring against Arsenal, Manchester City, and Manchester United during the final stretch of the campaign. His performances have drawn attention from several European clubs, with PSG emerging as a leading contender.
Kroupi’s conversion rate of 22% from shots outside of penalties was the third-highest among Premier League attackers this season, exceeding his rate from the 2024-2025 Ligue 2 season with FC Lorient. He also boasts an impressive record in converting big chances, successfully finishing 75% of them, the best ratio among players with at least 10 big chances taken.
Beyond his finishing ability, Kroupi is praised for his speed of execution, typically taking less than two seconds between controlling the ball and shooting, and his ability to create doubt within opposing defenses through intelligent movement and combination play. PSG’s tactical project, which emphasizes positional versatility and real-time reading of opponent movements, appears to be a good fit for Kroupi’s skillset. While he currently averages around 40 touches per match, the potential for increased involvement in a possession-based system is intriguing.
Despite his strengths, Kroupi is still developing aspects of his game, including his confidence with his weaker left foot and his dribbling ability. However, his work rate, willingness to attack depth, and understanding of spacing have impressed coaches, and Andoni Iraola at Bournemouth helped him improve his off-ball work, a trait highly valued by PSG manager Luis Enrique. Kroupi will turn 20 on June 23rd, and his continued development makes him an attractive prospect for a club of PSG’s stature.
