Paris Saint-Germain are set for a pivotal summer transfer window as they aim to manage a squad containing several high-profile players with uncertain futures, according to reports. The Ligue 1 champions, who are on course to defend their domestic title and reached the latter stages of the Champions League, must balance potential arrivals with the departures of stars who are reportedly unsettled.
Bradley Barcola is one such player attracting significant interest. The France international winger has been linked with a move to Liverpool, Arsenal, Barcelona, Manchester United, and Manchester City. It has been claimed that PSG would consider an offer in the region of €100 million for the former Lyon star, although the club is historically resistant to sales it does not sanction. Barcola's future may be influenced by PSG's pursuit of RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande as a potential replacement.
Meanwhile, contract talks with Ballon d'Or winner Ousmane Dembele have reached an impasse. Dembele is seeking a pay rise from his estimated €18 million annual salary, but club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has publicly emphasised the team's salary cap. According to L'Equipe, Dembele's advisors are using the past wages of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar as a benchmark, while also noting the lucrative contract of manager Luis Enrique. A resolution is expected at the season's end, with a sale possible if negotiations collapse.
Striker Goncalo Ramos also faces an uncertain future despite a respectable goal rate. The 24-year-old Portugal international has fallen out of favour with Luis Enrique, who has not relied on him in key moments. A missed penalty against Lyon and a red card versus Angers have further hampered his standing. With PSG linked to potential replacements like Bournemouth's Eli Kroupi and Rennes' Esteban Lepaul, Ramos could seek a move to a club better suited to his style.
Midfielder Kang-in Lee is another player whose future is in doubt. PSG fended off interest from Atletico Madrid in January, but further approaches are anticipated this summer. The 25-year-old South Korean is valued by Luis Enrique but desires more consistent playing time. Reports of substantial interest from Saudi Arabian clubs could test PSG's resolve to keep him, especially as the club hopes to secure a contract extension.
Academy product Ibrahim Mbaye has also generated concern. The 18-year-old Senegal international was omitted from four consecutive matchday squads, prompting speculation about his contentment, notably highlighted by transfer insider Fabrizio Romano. He has since made substitute appearances in PSG's last two games, but the episode underscores the challenge of retaining promising young talent. The coming months will be crucial for PSG's sporting project as they navigate these complex personnel decisions.
