The summer transfer window continues to deliver a flurry of activity across Europe’s top leagues, with several significant deals confirmed on July 28th. AC Milan have secured the services of Goncalo Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain for a club-record fee, bolstering their attack under new manager Ruben Amorim.
Manchester City have made a statement signing of their own, acquiring Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest for a reported €135 million. The Citizens also added Mathys Detourbet (€25m) and Jeremy Monga (€11.7m) to their squad as they prepare to defend their Premier League title. Tottenham Hotspur remain among the biggest spenders, with Jan Paul van Hecke (€60m), Sandro Tonali (€108m), and Mateus Fernandes (€99m) all joining the club under Roberto De Zerbi, alongside free transfers Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi, and Martin Dubravka.
Chelsea, under Xabi Alonso, have been equally active, bringing in Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa for €138m and Marco Palestra from Atalanta for €57m. Pre-arranged deals for Geovany Quenda (€50m), Denner (€10m), Dastan Satpaev (€2.4m), and Emmanuel Emegha have also been completed. They are reportedly close to adding France defender Maxence Lacroix from Crystal Palace for a fee of €60m, according to BBC Sport. Outgoing transfers from Stamford Bridge include Marc Cucurella, Andrey Santos, and Tyrique George, who have joined Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Everton respectively, generating around €132.3m in revenue for the club. Alejandro Garnacho has also departed on loan to Aston Villa, with a conditional obligation to buy.
Manchester United have added Youri Tielemans (€41m) and Karl Darlow on a free transfer to Michael Carrick’s squad. Arsenal have signed Christos Tzolis for €40m and Illan Meslier on a free transfer, while Liverpool have acquired Victor Munoz from Osasuna for €40m and Samuel Martinez from Atletico Nacional for around €879,000. Elsewhere, Barcelona have secured Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United for €80m and Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund for a fee that could rise to €29m. Real Madrid have brought in Denzel Dumfries (€20m), Ibrahima Konate (free transfer), and Bernardo Silva (free transfer) as Jose Mourinho rebuilds the squad.
Further afield, Bayern Munich have signed Nathaniel Brown (€55m) and Ismael Saibari (€55m), while in smaller deals, Kjell Scherpen has moved from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise to Ipswich Town for €10m, and Otavio has joined Eintracht Frankfurt from Estrela da Amadora for €4.5m.
