Rangers have emerged as potential suitors for Brighton & Hove Albion winger Amario Cozier-Duberry, following a successful loan spell with Bolton Wanderers during the 2025-26 season, according to reports. The 21-year-old is attracting attention from several clubs after impressing in League One.
Cozier-Duberry began his career in the Arsenal academy before moving to Brighton in 2024 upon the expiration of his contract. He has quickly developed into a promising talent, and his performances for Bolton, where he scored nine goals and registered 13 assists in 37 appearances, have further enhanced his reputation. His contributions were instrumental in Bolton’s promotion from League One.
Brighton reportedly rejected a bid of just under €6 million from Anderlecht for Cozier-Duberry, as reported by The Athletic. Rangers now face competition from Bundesliga side Augsburg and Ligue 1 club Paris FC to secure his signature. Despite interest from other clubs, Brighton are currently engaged in contract talks with Cozier-Duberry, whose existing deal is set to expire in 2028, but it remains unclear whether he will agree to new terms.
Rangers are seeking to bolster their attacking options following the end of Mikey Moore’s loan spell from Tottenham Hotspur. Derek McInnes’ side has already been active in the transfer window, bringing in Ivor Pandur, Ross McCrorie, Dan Neil, Lawrence Shankland, Cammy Devil, and Ben Godfrey (on loan). They are also in advanced negotiations for Jens Hjerto-Dahl and Vanja Dragojevic. The addition of Cozier-Duberry would further strengthen their squad as they aim to challenge for the Scottish Premiership title.
Former Arsenal academy coach Jack Wilshere has previously compared Cozier-Duberry to Bukayo Saka, praising his ability to create opportunities and his potential. Wilshere stated that Cozier-Duberry, like Saka, possesses the ability to be “unplayable” at times, and highlighted his exciting dribbling skills and potential for development. The comparison to Saka underscores the level of talent Cozier-Duberry is believed to possess.
