Real Madrid have reached an agreement with Inter Milan right-back Denzel Dumfries, according to Fabrizio Romano, as Florentino Perez responds to challenges in the club’s presidential election. The deal, facilitated by a €20 million release clause, is awaiting the outcome of the election before being made official, with the club also nearing agreements with Ibrahima Konate, formerly of Liverpool, and the anticipated appointment of Jose Mourinho as manager on a three-year contract. Mourinho is reportedly already involved in shaping the squad for the upcoming season.
Inter are proactively seeking a replacement for Dumfries, identifying Atalanta’s Marco Palestra as their primary target. Negotiations are underway, with Atalanta initially seeking €50 million, while Inter have offered €40 million. However, they face potential competition from Premier League clubs, including Newcastle United and Manchester City, who are also monitoring the situation.
Manchester United have secured their first signing of the summer, agreeing a deal with Atalanta midfielder Ederson. The transfer, worth around €40 million plus €5 million in add-ons, comes after Ederson indicated his preference for a move to Old Trafford, rejecting offers from other European clubs. United have been tracking the player since 2025, and the arrival of new director Cristiano Giuntoli facilitated the completion of the deal. The club anticipates further additions, particularly in midfield, following the departures of Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte.
Finally, Bayern Munich are reportedly on the verge of signing PSV Eindhoven’s Ismael Saibari after positive talks between the player and manager Vincent Kompany. Personal terms have been agreed, and Bayern are now negotiating a fee with PSV. They previously considered a move for Anthony Gordon but deemed the €80 million asking price excessive. Saibari, who scored twice in a recent international friendly, offers versatility in attack and is viewed as a potentially shrewd investment by the Bavarian club.
