Tottenham Hotspur are nearing the completion of deals for Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi and Liverpool full-back Andy Robertson, according to TEAMtalk. Both transfers are reportedly agreed in principle as Roberto De Zerbi begins reshaping the squad in North London.
The two players had already signaled their intention to depart their current clubs with their contracts set to expire this summer. Tottenham had previously been identified as leading contenders for both players and now appear increasingly confident of finalizing the moves in the coming days.
Senesi, a 29-year-old Argentinian centre-back, has established himself as a reliable presence in the Premier League during his time at Bournemouth. Tottenham believe his composure on the ball and proactive defending align well with De Zerbi’s tactical approach. Robertson, the 32-year-old Scotland captain, brings a wealth of experience and a trophy-laden career from Liverpool, where he was a standout performer for over a decade.
Club officials view the double signing as a significant statement of intent ahead of a busy summer transfer window. The arrival of two experienced Premier League defenders is expected to provide immediate leadership and stability to De Zerbi’s team. Tottenham’s defensive options are also subject to potential departures, with captain Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven attracting interest from European clubs.
Beyond the defensive reinforcements, Tottenham are also progressing towards a permanent deal for Bayern Munich midfielder Joao Palhinha. The club are reportedly confident of securing the 30-year-old Portugal international for a fee of £26million, despite interest from other Portuguese clubs. Palhinha previously impressed under De Zerbi and is considered a key component of the manager’s plans.
Tottenham are also monitoring midfielders in Ligue 1 as they continue to explore options to strengthen the squad further. These additions signal a clear ambition to build a more competitive team for the upcoming season.
