Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly in discussions to sell both Richarlison and Guglielmo Vicario as Roberto De Zerbi continues to reshape his squad. According to CaughtOffside, Spurs have ‘opened talks’ regarding a potential deal for Richarlison, with Juventus and Fenerbahce expressing interest.
The North London club are seeking a fee in the region of €20-25million (£17-21m) for the Brazilian forward. Juventus have identified Richarlison as an alternative to Randal Kolo Muani, who recently returned to Paris Saint-Germain after a loan spell with Tottenham. Richarlison’s current wages are believed to be within Juventus’ budgetary constraints, and the player himself reportedly prefers a move to Serie A over Turkey, desiring to remain in a top European league.
Richarlison joined Tottenham in 2022 from Everton for a reported £60 million, but has struggled to consistently replicate his goalscoring form. Last season, he made 27 Premier League appearances, scoring 11 goals. Meanwhile, Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Vicario is also a target for Juventus, as they search for a new goalkeeper.
While Aston Villa’s Emi Martinez is their primary target, difficulties in securing his signature have led Juventus to consider Vicario as a viable alternative. Spurs have indicated they would be willing to part with the Italian goalkeeper for a fee of around £20 million. De Zerbi has seemingly settled on Antonin Kinsky as his first-choice keeper, having been impressed by the Czech Republic international’s performances.
These potential departures come after a busy summer of arrivals at Tottenham, with Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali arriving for club-record fees. The club has also added Jan Paul van Hecke, Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi and Martin Dubravka to bolster their defensive options. Several players have already left the club to generate funds, and further sales are needed to finance additional signings, including Manchester City winger Savinho and a centre-forward.
