VfB Stuttgart have reached a full agreement with Leo Sauer to sign the winger from Feyenoord on a permanent deal, according to Sky Sports. TSG Hoffenheim are also monitoring the situation, but are currently prioritizing a separate deal for Adam Daghim, formerly of Wolfsburg.
Stuttgart are aiming to finalize the transfer for a package of under €15 million, plus performance-related bonuses. Sauer, 20, has emerged as a promising talent in recent seasons, notably impressing during Slovakia’s qualifying match against Germany at the start of the World Cup qualifiers. His performance in that match reportedly drew attention from several European clubs.
Sauer featured prominently for Feyenoord during the 2025/26 campaign, making 29 appearances and scoring three goals. He primarily plays as a left winger, a position Stuttgart may be looking to strengthen ahead of next season. The club finished second in the Bundesliga last season, qualifying for the Champions League, and will be looking to build on that success.
While Hoffenheim’s interest presents a potential challenge, their current focus on Daghim could give Stuttgart a clear path to secure Sauer’s signature.
