The 21-year-old Democratic Republic of Congo international enjoyed a breakthrough season in Ligue 1, playing a key role in Lille’s third-place finish and subsequent Champions League qualification.
Mukau, typically deployed in a defensive midfield role, made 42 appearances across all competitions for Lille this season and is expected to feature for his nation at the World Cup. His performances have drawn extensive scouting from Premier League clubs, with Tottenham, Villa and Everton among those most actively assessing his potential.
Brighton and Brentford are also reported to have conducted detailed checks on the midfielder as interest in his future continues to grow throughout Europe.
