Tottenham Hotspur are continuing their pursuit of Manchester City winger Savinho, with the club awaiting a decision from City regarding the player’s availability, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. Spurs have already completed the signings of Martin Dubravka, Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi, Jan Paul van Hecke, Mateus Fernandes, and Sandro Tonali, spending a combined £237m in the transfer window, and are keen to add further reinforcements to their squad.
Tottenham initially attempted to sign the 22-year-old Brazilian last summer, securing his agreement in principle, but Manchester City blocked the move after failing to acquire Rodrygo. Savinho subsequently signed a new contract with City, but has seen limited playing time in the 2025/26 season. Spurs have reportedly rekindled their interest, and have once again received a positive response from the player.
The situation now rests with Manchester City, who must decide whether to allow Savinho to leave and under what terms. Reports suggest a transfer fee of around £60 million could be enough to convince City to part ways with the winger. Tottenham are also considering other wide players, including Cody Gakpo, Rafael Leao, and Crysencio Summerville, but Savinho remains their priority target.
Savinho’s potential arrival would further bolster Tottenham’s attacking options as they look to improve on recent Premier League finishes. The club has been proactive in reshaping its squad under new management, addressing perceived weaknesses in leadership and experience. Should Savinho join, he would add pace and creativity to the team’s forward line, potentially forming a dynamic partnership with existing players.
