Toulouse Football Club have confirmed the departures of six players whose contracts are expiring, the club announced via social media on May 19, 2026. Goalkeeper Kjetil Haug, fellow shot-stopper Alex Domínguez, midfielders Warren Kamanzi and Pape Bemba Diop, as well as forwards Frank Magri and Noah Lamandi will all leave the Ligue 1 side this summer.
Pape Bemba Diop returns to his parent club, Strasbourg, following a loan spell with Toulouse. The other five players will be free agents and available to sign for new clubs ahead of the 2026-2027 season. Toulouse thanked all six players for their commitment and service to the club.
The departures signal a significant clear-out for Toulouse as they prepare for a rebuild under a new manager. The club recently announced that Carles Martínez Novell will not continue in his role, and president Olivier Cloarec stated that a replacement will be appointed before the start of the transfer window. Cloarec expressed the club’s ambition to “overperform” next season.
Toulouse have finished between 13th and 10th in Ligue 1 for the past four seasons, a period some observers question whether truly constitutes overperformance. The club will be looking to strengthen their squad with new signings to improve on that record. The release of these six players frees up space in the squad and potentially allows for greater financial flexibility in the transfer market.
The changes at Toulouse come as other clubs across Europe finalize their plans for the upcoming transfer window and international tournaments, including the World Cup. The club’s restructuring could impact their competitiveness in Ligue 1 next season, but the appointment of a new manager and strategic signings will be crucial to their future success.
