Bazoumana Touré is expected to depart TSG Hoffenheim this summer following the club’s failure to qualify for the Champions League, according to Sky Germany. Hoffenheim finished fifth in the 2025/26 Bundesliga season, missing out on the final Champions League spot to VfB Stuttgart after a 4-0 defeat to Borussia Mönchengladbach on the final matchday.
Sky Germany reports that Champions League qualification was considered the only realistic pathway to retain Touré’s services beyond the current season. The Ivory Coast international has become a pivotal figure for Hoffenheim since joining from Hammarby in February 2025, quickly establishing himself as a key component in their attacking setup.
Touré has made 45 appearances for Hoffenheim across all competitions, scoring five goals and registering 15 assists. His performances have reportedly attracted interest from several Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, Manchester United, Aston Villa, and Newcastle United. Hoffenheim are believed to value the player in the region of €30-40 million.
The 23-year-old’s arrival in Sinsheim represented a significant investment for Hoffenheim, and his impact was immediate. Prior to his transfer, Touré spent a productive spell in Sweden with Hammarby, where his dynamic playmaking abilities caught the eye of several European scouts. He has also become a regular feature for the Ivory Coast national team, adding international experience to his growing profile.
With Hoffenheim now facing a season without Champions League football, the club are seemingly resigned to losing a valuable asset. For the interested Premier League clubs, Touré represents a potentially exciting addition, offering both creativity and goal threat from midfield. His departure would leave a void in Hoffenheim’s squad, requiring them to seek a suitable replacement in the transfer window.
