The summer transfer window is in full swing with significant activity across Europe’s top five leagues. Several high-profile moves have been completed as clubs reshape their squads following the conclusion of the World Cup.
Tottenham Hotspur have been particularly active, reportedly spending €267million on new talent. Jan Paul van Hecke arrived for €60million, followed by Sandro Tonali at €108million and Mateus Fernandes for €99million. Roberto De Zerbi has also added experience with free transfers for Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi, and Martin Dubravka.
Chelsea, under Xabi Alonso, have also invested heavily, securing Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa for €138million and Marco Palestra from Atalanta for €57million. Pre-arranged deals saw Geovany Quenda, Denner, Dastan Satpaev, and Emmanuel Emegha also join the Blues. According to BBC Sport, Chelsea are nearing an agreement to sign France defender Maxence Lacroix from Crystal Palace for a fee of €60million. Outgoing transfers include Marc Cucurella, Andrey Santos, and Tyrique George, who have moved to Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Everton respectively for a combined €132.3million. Alejandro Garnacho has joined Aston Villa on loan with a conditional obligation to buy.
Manchester United have added Youri Tielemans for €41million and Karl Darlow on a free transfer to bolster their squad under Michael Carrick. Manchester City have made Elliot Anderson their marquee signing, bringing him in from Nottingham Forest for €135million, alongside Mathys Detourbet (€25m) and Jeremy Monga (€11.7m). Arsenal have secured the services of Christos Tzolis for €40million and Illan Meslier on a free transfer, while Liverpool have acquired Victor Munoz from Osasuna for €40million and Samuel Martinez from Atletico Nacional for €879,000.
Outside of the Premier League, Barcelona have signed Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United for €80million and Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund for €22million, rising to €29million. Real Madrid have brought in Denzel Dumfries (€20m), Ibrahima Konate (free), and Bernardo Silva (free), alongside Cucurella. They are also expected to sign Ivory Coast winger Yan Diomande, though a fee with RB Leipzig is still being negotiated. Bayern Munich have signed Nathaniel Brown (€55m) and Ismael Saibari (€55m), while AC Milan have signed Goncalo Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain for a club record €70m, backing new manager Ruben Amorim.
Today’s completed deals include Kjell Scherpen’s move from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise to Ipswich Town for €10million, and Otavio’s transfer from Estrela da Amadora to Eintracht Frankfurt for €4.5million. Andrea Natali has moved from Bayer Leverkusen to AZ Alkmaar for €2.25m, and Fynn Schenten has joined Roda JC on loan from Koln.
