Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis has indicated he would be open to a return to the Premier League, with Arsenal among the clubs reportedly interested in securing his services. The 24-year-old, who previously played for Norwich City, has enjoyed a prolific season in Belgium, scoring 21 goals and providing 28 assists across all competitions.
Tzolis joined Norwich from PAOK in 2021 for a fee of €11 million, but struggled to make a significant impact during his time in England. He subsequently had loan spells at Twente and Fortuna Dusseldorf, where he rediscovered his form, netting 24 goals in 37 appearances for the latter. This form prompted a €6.5 million move to Club Brugge in 2024.
Since arriving at Brugge, Tzolis has continued to excel, playing a key role in their recent Jupiler Pro League title win. He was directly asked about interest from Arsenal, Manchester United, and Manchester City by DAZN pundit Stijn Stijnen, to which he responded, “I don’t know… It depends on Club Brugge.” He emphasized the importance of finding the right project and respecting his current contract, which runs until 2029.
Brugge are believed to want a fee exceeding €36 million for Tzolis, aiming to make him their club’s record sale. Last year, a bid of over €30 million from Crystal Palace was rejected. While data analytics firm SciSports suggests a direct move to Arsenal might be a step too soon for the winger, they highlight Manchester United as a more stylistically suitable destination, giving them a Career Fit rating of 87 compared to Arsenal’s 73.
Despite the data, Tzolis’ impressive goal-scoring record in Belgium has attracted significant attention. His current form has positioned him as a standout performer in the league, with SciSports ranking him highly among wingers. A move to a club like Crystal Palace is considered a more logical step by some, but the player’s own ambitions and Brugge’s demands will ultimately dictate his next destination.
